Toms natural deodorant – is Propylene Glycol really that bad?

I switched to natural aluminum free deodorants 2 years ago. First one I picked up was Tom’s. It worked really well for me, didn’t stink, nice smell, not sure if it stained clothes. But overall ok. I had to reapply more than usual but that was fine for me. When the scent went away I didn’t have any body odor at all which was great.

However I recently learned how bad Propylene glycol is and that’s the first ingredient in Tom’s. I never had a reaction, but I’m worried if this will cause long term damage to my system. I stopped using it and bought Native.

Native smells weird/funky after about 5 hrs of using it so I don’t like it that much. I’m thinking of switching back to Tom’s 🤔

So I’m looking for more insight on Tom’s if it’s really safe to use or recommendations/suggestions for natural deodorant that is not Toms or Native.
