A couple of things probably come to mind when you think of Cardi B. Anytime she steps out, you know she’s going to give you an outfit like the true fashionista she is. You most likely also think of her statement-making wigs or even the hair masks with all-natural ingredients she makes for herself and her daughter Kulture. There are also her manicures, which are usually extremely long and very cute. But the latest nail set she has might be the shortest we’ve ever seen on her.
On December 13, the Bronx rapper went live on Instagram following the exciting news that her song “I Like It” with J Balvin and Bad Bunny had become her third diamond-certified record. In the almost 14-minute long video, she thanks fans for all their support. She also chats candidly about the many things happening in her career and how she’s trying her best to juggle it all with a newborn baby and a three-year-old. During the video, she chills at home in a cream-colored beanie, red shades, and big gold hoops.
The short nails in question are a square-shaped white manicure. Cardi B is anything but simple, so only two of the nails are fully painted in white polish. Her ring and pinky fingers, however, are completely covered in silver jewels. The thumb, which is a bit hard to see fully in the video, seems to have a negative-space design with blobs of white.
With the new diamond-certified single, she is the first woman rapper to have three diamond singles. For those that don’t know, earlier this year, she became the first woman rapper to have a diamond single, so the fact that she has reached number three in just one year is remarkable and inspiring.
In the video, she shared that she’s doing her best to take care of herself, as her immune system has not been the same since she gave birth in September, while also handling all her new ventures. In addition to her vodka-infused whipped cream launch Whipshots and new role as creative director for Playboy, she also mentioned an upcoming film she has to shoot and that her second album will be arriving next year. While we’re definitely excited for everything to come, we hope the busy performer is able to get some serious rest and self-care in.
