Get ready for KVD Good Apple Lightweight Full-Coverage Concealer to sell out soon. Does anyone remember the frenzy Tiktok created around KVD Good Apple Skin-Perfecting Hydrating Foundation Balm? I do. I suspect that this new Good Apple Lightweight Full-Coverage Concealer will fall victim to the same insanity and at some point you’ll find it difficult to find your shade or any shade.

Let’s see how it goes…..

Hmmmmmm…..

The fact of the matter is I was highly skeptical when Good Apple Foundation launched. As well seasoned user of balm foundations I’ve always found them terribly heavy and mask-like yet everyone on Tiktok was raving how lightweight yet full coverage it was and how wonderfully smooth and even it looked on your skin. In reality, it was as heavy and mask-like as I thought but influencers have a way of convincing us beauty lovers to buy into something we end up hating.

As a concealer junkie I do have hopes the new KVD Good Apple Lightweight Full-Coverage Concealer proves a better option.

KVD Good Apple Lightweight Full-Coverage Concealer is available in 32 shades and coming to Ulta.com on February 1st. I’m old enough to remember the original Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer that launched in 2009 and later the new launch and reformulation of Kat Von D Lock-It Concealer Creme in 2016.

But since those launches Kat Von D was brought out by Kendo and reinvented, repackaged, remarketed, and rebranded as KVD Beauty.

During this time, Kendo has been repackaging and reintroducing newer versions of old products. So, is Good Apple Lightweight Full-Coverage Concealer a repackaged version of Kat Von D Lock-It Concealer Creme. I’m not sure but I’m willing to take the plunge and try it out. I actually liked the original Lock-It Concealer Creme (and of course the original Tattoo Concealer) but I always struggled to find a good shade match. If you’re curious about the original formula Sephora.com is actually clearing out on it and it’s marked down to $14.

Good Apple Lightweight Full-Coverage Concealer is a little more expensive at $28 versus $27 for Lock-It but it does come in a larger size. The new formula promises “extreme long-wear” and a crease-free formula that hydrating and lightweight but has the super coverage of Good Apple Foundation. One thing to note that disappointed me and I hope it’s wrong is this formula contains alcohol which could prove very drying under eyes. Ulta listed it as being part of the ingredients but Ulta has been known to get ingredients wrong. They claim the coverage is undetectable under the eyes and has a natural, skin-like finish with an applicator design that mimics your fingertip for precise application.

KVD Good Apple Lightweight Full-Coverage Concealer has my attention. I’ll be purchasing as soon as this launches.

How about you?
