The whole point of contouring is to beautifully shape your face using makeup. Most makeup consumers use it to achieve a certain chiseled look. The current wave advocates for the less is more approach- the intention is to give a natural look. The olden trends advocated for changing the shape of your face completely but currently, it’s all about embracing who you are. The aim is to give an illusion that the angles of your face pop or are shinier. Contours are often used where the sun would hit your face: your nose, edges of your face, or simply temples.
It is no surprise that getting that shinier look or the product itself could involve the use of toxic ingredients. However, there are several organic contours that are wearable and absolutely not detrimental to users. Ensure you know your resources- makeup products be they blushes or contours always need a consumer who has the necessary knowledge. Do extensive research on the contour kits and even on your type of skin. Do not pick up a contour kit just because it is trendy.
Clean contours contain ingredients that are safe and healthy. Always pick a shade flattering to your face.
